WALES VICTORIAN PORCH
Highlights of this Exterior Remodel
- Porch details fitting the period
- A wider, flared staircase
- An octagonal porch with a sitting area.
The homeowner’s original, historical porch was rotted, and falling down, and appeared to be more like the rear door than the front. Overall, they wanted a porch sensitive to the history of their 1900 Victorian Home that wasn’t “frilly,” while also retaining the small window on the side of the front entry. If possible, they also wanted a wider, inviting entry with a flared stairway, and a larger, round porch for a sitting area.
