Klassen Remodeling & Design converted the dated late-40’s bathroom in this Wauwatosa home into a warm transitional space. Greater clearance between the primary elements of the bath make it easier to move around in and much more comfortable. Several visual highlights were added, resulting in a room that the owner says “just sparkles!”
Transitional BathThe original bath layout was cramped; there was just 19" between the commode and shower. With the bathroom vanity under the window, the mirror had to be mounted on the adjoining wall. Pink late-40's tile resulted in a very dated appearance. New maple all-drawer vanity and linen cabinet with glazed stain finish replaced an undersized linen closet and limited-use vanity. Fresh painted walls replace pink tile and wallpaper. The vanity faces an interior wall with plenty of area for a large mirror as part of the bath remodel. Porcelain tile with glass accents in a pinwheel arrangement add interest to the heated tile floor.
Curbless ShowerWho would miss the curb at a shower entrance?? This owner certainly doesn't; loves her curbless shower with 2 sides of glass that help make the room feel larger than it is.
